Newcastle to sign former Burnley midfielder Jeff Hendrick on a totally free transfer, bargain readied to be finished this weekend break

Jeff Hendrick is set to sign for Newcastle United on a free transfer, talkSPORT sources understand.
The 28-year-old left Burnley after his contract at Turf Moor expired on June 30 – he did not extend to see out the season.
As a result, he became a free agent and attracted interest from a number of clubs.
talkSPORT understands that St James’ Park will be his destination, with a deal set to be finalised by the end of this weekend.
The Republic of Ireland international made over 120 Premier League appearances for Burnley following a 2016 move from Derby.
He scored nine goals in that time, and helped solidify the club in England’s top division.

Hendrick also has 54 caps for his country.
He will no doubt be seen by Steve Bruce аs someone to аdd depth аnd experience to his teаm.
